There are two corresponding exhibits taking place between Sydney and Seoul.

Tell Me Tell Me: Australian and Korean Art 1976 – 2011 is a major exhibition of Korean and Australian contemporary art celebrating 2011 as the Australian-Korean Year of Friendship. The project highlights the historical and ongoing connections between Australian and Korean art and showcases works from the collections of both museums.

Artist Terry Reid is a participating artist and is organizing his exhibit called SECREt eXCHANGE. His call to artists is to create a secret and send it in an envelope to be opened, secret taken and replaced by another during the exhibition. This is my “secret” for the Sydney museum.

Jointly curated by MCA Curator Glenn Barkley and NMOCA Curator Inhye Kim, the exhibition will be held at the National Art School Gallery, Darlinghurst and will open on 17 June 2011. It will later travel to the NMOCA in Seoul where it will be exhibited from 8 November 2011 to 19 February 2012.
