Inspiration comes from many places and so in reading Covet Garden magazine’s 23rd issue my friend Shari and I were struck by the wonderful simplicity of the red dress painted by Iza Mokrosz (page 28). We agreed that we should try a red dress painting of our own. Shari created a lovely original from a completely personal item. I, on the other hand, relied on my collection of vintage photographs, eliminating the person, leaving the dress and painting over it. Thank you Iza and Covet Garden for the inspired image and Shari for being my muse today.
