monday: it was fun for a while. the novelty of staying home has peaked, don’t get me wrong, i am actually learning to appreciate my home and my garden more, but the cooking, etc, doesn’t quite have the appeal it did at the beginning. although, last nights dinner of rice, cauliflower and mangos, with peanut sauce was a hit.

i listened to more of noam chomsky on democracy now as i painted the twelfth image in the series, dela mchenry and children. that is all that is penciled in on that page in the velvet photo album. i am not sure if they are her children, or someone else’s. and dela is another mystery. still working on her connection.

i watched a movie about mary ann cotton, a serial killer in england in the 1850s. the film is called dark angel. it was fascinating to watch as it was so different from what you see when a show has a serial killer in the modern era, i usually can’t even watch because they are too gruesome. she poisoned her loved ones and gently nursed them as they died. from 1852 to 1870 she had 13 children with 4 different husbands – most of whom she killed. it is estimated that she poisoned 21 people, including her best friend and her own mother.
