thursday: corona virus still keeping us isolated.

rummaging through my resources i came across some envelopes from 1938: a correspondence to Mr. Harry Jepson in Wolf Creek Montana, from CT Peterson c/o Alexander Pearson in Chicago Illinois, and an unknown person from Franklin D. Roosevelt National Progressive Association and Tejon Street in Denver Colorado. Care Burns Mercantile Company was sometimes used in Harry’s address. most of the postage used was for six cents.

i wanted to imprint some design on the envelopes directly instead of using a transfer method, so i cut them open and printed 4 images on each envelope on a laser printer. i then ripped them and added to these collages some maps with same or adjacent states and towns, and some decorative papers.

they are in a great variety of sizes and shapes as i used already cut cards that i had.
