monday: i spent most of the day working on these collages. i did a series of 12 drawings on the ipad, based on collected photos. then i pulled pages from an old handwriting analysis course book and printed the images onto the pages. i added wallpaper swatches for color and visual interest.
i really like drawing and painting on the ipad. i think i have a freer hand and my work is more sketcherly.
i watched/listened to part one of ken burn’s national parks series while working on these, and a 1970 murder mystery, “and soon the darkness” a story of two young women biking through france, the murderer is the gendarme, and it seems the whole town knows it’s him. it was strange.
