telephone museum

since the weather is cooler and my studio is still a disaster area, last saturday we decided to take a ride up north to the pioneer living history museum, which also now houses the telephone museum. it was a lot of fun going through the telephone museum and we took a bunch of photos. i was very interested in the strange mannequins dressed as operators and linemen, so when i got home i did some drawings of them. the only other “guy” we saw on the grounds was the bank manager. it’s a great walk around the village, where there are replicas of old houses, a bank, a church, a school house and more. they come from AZ and have been moved to this location to give you a feel of what it would be like to be in a pioneer town. they also do reenactments and gun fights, we skipped that part.
