getting to better know my new town of tryon, nc and meet people here i have been involved in a few things. currently i am volunteering at the tryon history museum and at tryon painters and sculptors (TPS), which is a membership gallery/gift shop with classes and workshops. mostly doing graphic design and web design, creating logos, doing emails, creating ads, making maps… etc. lots to keep me busy.
we are also doing some yard work as the former owners of this house planted over 70 varieties of plants and trees here. it’s really very beautiful.
i have not done much painting or drawing, which i am missing, and still trying to find a balance.
a few months ago i sold a painting. that was great, and i also sold some earrings and a bracelet at TPS.
i am meeting some really wonderful people, who come from all different places, as well as local. there is a saturday morning coffee group that meets at tryon fine arts center that i try not to miss. great discussions and camaraderie between artists and writers (and some musicians too).
brenda, a friend from phoenix, her dog, morty, died. i painted this watercolor picture for her.
