tryon international film festival was this past weekend, nov. 23/24. TPS (tryon painters and sculptors) set up four stations around town with canvases that had sketches of some of our town’s icons. jake and i volunteered to staff the one where morris the horse was being represented. it was a chilly morning and we were in the plaza, near the dogs for adoption booth. we did not get much traffic there as everyone was interested in the dogs (and they were also blocking up the sidewalk so most people were walking around and passing us by).

we moved.

after that we got some great people stopping by our table. they painted some amazing things on the canvas, houses, dogs, symbols, sun rays. all out of their imaginations. the people who came by were so open and creative. we even had a nice group of film festival celebrities doing painting. it was nice to get to interact with the passersby. “our” painting later sold at the film festival auction for $300. hooray.
